JIARU LIU, MD, FRCSC

Dr Jiaru Liu is an ophthalmologist and surgeon specializing in glaucoma. She practices at the Montral Sacred Heart Hospital and the CHUM. After obtaining her doctorate in medicine at McGill University, Dr Liu completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Montreal, graduating on dean’s list. 

She then pursued a glaucoma fellowship at the renowned Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, where she specialized in incisional and minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries, as well as complex cataracts. 

Dr Liu is involved in medical student and resident teaching, and is interested in research on surgical techniques in glaucoma.
