Dr. Jacinthe Rouleau is an ophthalmologist and surgeon at the CHUM. In addition to being an associate clinical professor at the University of Montreal, she was also the head of the neuro-ophthalmology division for more than 10 years.
After obtaining her medical degree at Laval University, Dr. Rouleau completed her residency in ophthalmology at the University of Montreal. She then continued her training with an additional fellowship year in neuro-ophthalmology at the renowned Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at the University of Iowa, in the United States.
In addition to neuro-ophthalmology, she practices general ophthalmology and has an interest for cataracts and glaucoma. She is an experienced and passionate cataract surgeon since 2007.
Her neuro-ophthalmology clinics are mainly at the CHUM, where she is involved in the training of residents and medical students. Dr. Rouleau also contributes to continuing education; she is regularly invited as a lecturer in various national and international meetings, not only for ophthalmologists but also for other health professionals (optometrists, family doctors and medical specialists).
